diigo is a Social Bookmarking Platform, most similar to delicious, in that it allows for both private and public/sharing bookmarks.
Athough diigo itself is not a necessary tool for networking it is important to include at the start so that you'll have a [place to bookmark all the great sites you'll be finding!
